This site is an independent information project about paracord beads. It helps you pick beads that fit your cord and your knot, the first time. I run it with a simple goal: clear facts, repeatable checks, and no hype.
My name is Alex Carter, and I have made bracelets, lanyards, fobs, and zipper pulls since 2010. I test beads on 550, 425, 275, and micro cord and record the fit. We list inner hole sizes in millimeters and note which knots pass cleanly, like the lanyard knot, diamond knot, cobra, and snake knot. We explain material behavior you will notice in use: patina on brass and copper, corrosion resistance of stainless steel and titanium, the light weight of aluminum, and how sharp edges can nick a sheath. We show how to deburr a bead and seal a melt so it will pass a tight bore.
We publish printable size checks at 100% scale and step photos with a ruler. We include threading tips with fids, needles, and hemostats for tight bores and doubled strands. We cover safety and care: small parts are a choking hazard, metal beads can scratch surfaces, and mixed metals can stain in salt water. We credit makers and brands and avoid counterfeit sources. We do not sell beads, place ads, or take paid posts. We buy items at retail or borrow and return, and we document methods with calipers and a scale. The project saves time, cord, and money by solving three common problems: unclear hole sizes, poor fit with common knots, and materials that do not suit the job.
